Why?Why bother with socializing in your younger days? Why take the trouble of the nuisance that is 'friendship', when in a few short years the very foundation of your friendliness and attachment will tumble into nothing but broken memories and feelings? Why make the effort to associate with those who will not bother associating themselves with you just a few years down the cracked and battered road of life?

Why? Why love? Why care? Why bother? Why bother loving a 'significant other' that down the road will leave you, if not from their own thoughtless decision then from the greedy hands of death? Why bother having friends for this reason, or both

Aliens Rays of the sun blared down onto my small town, casting a warm glow within the morning air. My feet carried me along the sidewalk in my early routine. There existed no interest to this day; it was as boring as any other day I walked throughout the neighborhood.

Sometimes my friendly neighbors would give an acknowledging wave to me then go back to their work, while others simply ignored me. Either way I did not feel hurt by it, because they acted in the way their parents raised them. Quite a few families within the area believed in quietness and to not socialize. Acrylic water Scape WIP - Wanting Critiqueby ~Hannawook

This is something for my painting class I'm working on. It's an acrylic water scape picture.

So far, so good, except I just CAN NOT get the water right looking for the life of me. I'd love some critique/tutorial for it, as you can see it is NOT complete.

I don't have a scanner, so I had to take a picture, so I'm sorry if it doesn't look right.

Btw, we were told to use a reference picture, and the one I used originally belongs to...well, I'm not sure. It was really a scrap poster-ish thing from art class. The title says "Homeward Bound", and all I can recognize from the signature is "F. Powell". If anyone knows who the original is, please tell me so I can give proper credit.

But yes, I'd appreciate critique!
